(Photos) Gov Amosun celebrates his wife, Olufunso on her jubilee anniversary


Governor, Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State on Sunday May 1, attended a church service to commemorate the 50th birthday of his wife, Dr. (Mrs) Olufunso Amosun.


Governor Amosun in his thanksgiving speech, showed gratitude to God for the life of his wife.

He also joined the First Lady in cutting a birthday cake alongside family, friends and members ofthe Ogun State Executive Council present at the church service.

In a similar manner, special prayers were held for the Ogun State First Lady, last Friday, at the Government House mosque as part of activities marking the 50th birthday anniversary.

Mrs Amosun turns 50 today, May 2.

The beautiful Olufunsho was born on the 2nd of May, 1966 to the family of (Late) Bishop Ayoade and Elder Christiana Odesanya.

She started her primaryeducation at St James Norland school in the United Kingdom and returned home to attend Yejide GirlsGrammar school in Ibadan (1977-1982), from hereshe progressed to Oyo State college of Arts and science for her A level education (1983-1985) before gaining admission into University of Ife,now known as Obafemi Awolowo University where she bagged a BA.ED in English Education.

Mrs. Amosun also holds a master Degree in Guidance and Counseling fromUniversity of Lagos in Nigeria. The First Lady worked briefly as part of a loss Adjustment Team in Barclay’s Financial Services and New Prudential Insurance Company both in the United Kingdom in the 1990s, but her main preoccupation over the years has been one of support to her husband in his various philanthropic roles in the society.
