An activist Olamide Falana, is obviously the youngest candidate and the only female contender among those contesting the November 26 Ondo State governorship election.
Thirty-three (33) years old Falana, emerged candidate of the Democratic Peoples Party (DPP) by mode of adoption by the delegates of the party as the only one among the governorship aspirants for the party’s primary election who certified the party’s requirements.
Mrs. Falana, a graduate of Federal University of Technology (FUTA), is currently the Programe Manager at Girls to Women Rsearch and Development Center, a Non profit organization in the Country.
In 2001, she served as a volunteer coordinator for Kids and Teens Resource Centre, a voluntary organization that is dedicated to supporting a secure environment for young peoples development.
The DPP Flag bearer in her campaign promises assured that her own leadership style as governor would bring new ideas into government by ensuring that the state produce food for the nation.
Among many of her promises, she assured rapid industrial development for the state by encouraging and bringing moribund industries in the state back to life .
The DPP candidate also said that the economy of the state would be actively moved from micro to macro economics.
