Gov Ajimobi goes hard on Olubadan, slams Lautech’s low tuition fees

Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi during radio programme on Saturday berates the Olubadan of Ibadanland Oba Saliu Adetunji for his absence at the recent coronation of new 22 kings in Ibadan.


According to the governor,  it was wrong for Olubadan not to come to Mapo for the coronation, boasting that whether Olubadan like it or not, he is under local government because he who pays the piper dictates the tunes.

Senator Ajimobi laments  that it is an offence for Olubadan to ignore government directive.

“I spent over N100 Million Naira on Olubadan coronation.”

“One of Olubadan wives is my younger sister, I used to send her to my girlfriends when we were young.”

“I just gave out a parcel of land to Egbon mi Ladoja.”

“Who are the Mogajis, they will lose woefully at the court.”

“On LAUTECH, students pays between N65,000 to N70,000 whereas ordinary secondary schools charges N150,000 to N200,000 while tuition fee in other Universities is within N500,000 to N2,000,000. LAUTECH fee will surely be increased and the government will stop funding the University.”

“If you can’t afford Technical University, don’t go there because it’s not for everybody. The University is for special people. The school is not owned by the government but belongs to investors.”

“I have modernized civil servants in Oyo State, they now dress well. They can now use power point. I also sponsor the civil servants on training abroad and gives them loans.”

“When I took over, water was dripping down in governor’s office, the whole place was in a mess but I made the dirty environment look clean and beautiful.”

“What is tradition, tradition without improvement is rubbish.”

“I have brought about N30 billion dollars investment to Oyo State.”
